Woodchurch Care Awards 2014
Woodchurch Care Awards 2014
It was a night to remember for Woodchurch House as we celebrated the first Woodchurch Care Awards at the Felbridge Hotel on 14 November.
This was a care awards with a difference as the Award winners were joined by specially invited residents and their families as well as colleagues and care professionals from Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
The winners themselves had been nominated by residents, their relatives and friends who have seen for themselves the outstanding qualities these individuals bring to the care and support of their loved ones.
The winner at Woodchurch House was Ineta Petruskeviciute
Ineta understands that the needs of the individual are paramount and little things can make such a big difference to the person’s perception of care. NominatingIneta one relative said: “My father has confidence in her abilities and believes she will help him. She pays attention to his needs and informs me if my father needs anything out of the ordinary, in particular asking me to get Sterident tablets for my father’s false teeth!”
The Woodchurch Care Awards were created to celebrate the achievements of those members of staff who are helping transform the lives of people with dementia and physical frailty.
Ineta and all our winners are people who can empathise with our residents and see the world through their eyes; they are not afraid of putting the needs of others first; their reward is a job well done and the Woodchurch Care Group believes that is worthy of celebration. The Awards recognise staff who excel in delivering relationship-centred care on a daily basis; individuals who motivate the team around them and who positively enjoy supporting residents and giving them the individualised care, companionship and stimulation that facilitates their well-being.
